Can anyone recommend some secret websites where one could find great international flight deals?
I already checked out the typical sites google brings up such as orbitz, travelocity etc.

    Thanks

Try http://www.sidestep.com - it automatically searches a great number of the typical sites, and a bunch of others.

Of the main sites (Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia), I find that Orbitz almost always will get the best deal.

Try going directly to the airline website.

I bought a ticket through British Airways that beat Orbitz, Travelosity, Expedia and Priceline.

Depending on where you're going check British Airways, Virgin Air, Luftansa, etc. Yes, it's a little more tedious than a one stop shop. But some of those websites are paid by the airlines to give their companies a higher priority.

It works domestically too. For instance...Southwest Airlines.

ditto. Try the airline's own site.

I often will try Orbitz or Expedia first, to see which airlines service that route. Then go to the airline's own site to see if they can beat the deal. Often, they not only can beat the deal on price, but have better schedules (has anyone noticed how often Expedia has red-eye flights listed?)

If you find a deal by an outside party- then call the airline and they will usually match the price or beat it!

since you travel so much, you might as well pitch out for a timeshare with some private jet company... think of the possibilities, find the right one, and i'm sure you could convince the pilot ($) to take you to some real shady and interesting places airlines would never go....

There is a brand new site that helps you decide when to buy your tickets by predicting if the fares for the routes and the dates desired are likely to go up or down. It is still in beta mode.

The best deal I've found is to work for an airline. Then you can fly anywhere for free! :p

It is better to be married to a crew members and join them on company paid mini vacations.

Oh, memories of the St. James Court and the Kensington Hilton in LHR, the Nikko and the Hotel Concorde La Fayette in CDG, the TLV Sheraton and Hilton, the Vienna Hilton, Caribe Hilton in SJU and the Outrigger in KOA. I could go on and on and on.

hehe, works for me too.. ;)

    I'm discovering "off-season" this year...

But I might go with M. Oiseau... it'd be way better to just be *married* to someone who works at an airline..
