Hi everyone, I know this has been discussed a bit over the times but things change so quickly I just wanted to start a fresh on it! It's nagged me for year not being able to sort this myself!

Too many times I have come up against all keys lost situation in prius and had to pay a locksmith extravagant extortion style bulk cash to sort it for me, not fun on cars with low value, figured as the years go past and the cars getting older, surely by now there must be an easier way to sort this out?

I have seen the seed generator tool for TS videos on YouTube but it's still not that cheap or easy to get hands on, then the confusion of a flooded market of cheap immo tools on eBay which mostly won't do a reset! I dont really want to fumble around emailing nigeria and paying for tokens every time I need the service, if there is a decent cheap obd tool or even a modern day TS hack that actually works reliably I would absolutely love to know about it! now is the time for me to figure this procedure out once and for all

If you have advice but the information is too sensitive to post here please feel free to send me a pm

    :)

    Thanks in advance

hi Priuscamper, cheers mate i have ts and know all about the code generator however trying to avoid the pay tokens every time i need to do this, figured there might be an easier or cheaper way these days, or a cheap effective obd tool .. maybe not (yet)

Has anyone tried the CN900 mini transponder programmer or any of the other cheap programmers?

Another option would be to find an electronic locksmith or two and share a computer that you all chip in on to pay Toyota's monthly security fee they sell to licensed locksmiths to use that part of Techstream?

Unfortunately all the locksmiths around here are already sorted with the big gear, the last time I used one he done me a favor and only charged me 250 to code a second hand fob to a car for me, I supplied the fob.. the car was worth 1000 and was not mine but the fob got stolen from my place so of course it ends up my problem!

The cheap green obd2 floating around on eBay claim to be able to reset immo for toyotas up to 2009

We don't create locks on doors to eliminate theft, we do it to make it more difficult because it's not possible to do much more than that.

This is why you should always have two key fobs. If one is lost. get a new one right away. I had my spouse's Subaru at the dealer for periodic maintenance and they lost the fob. They could not program a new one until my spouse drove down (in the Prius) with her fob so that they could program me a replacement fob, free of course. (the good news is that they later found my original fob so I now have three).

Hi Jeff yes i realise that but im always fiddling around with these cars as a "hobby" i guess, have half a dozen wrecks sitting in the paddock it can be easy to lose track of things now and then!

once a friend left his car with me so i could do a job on it for him and the only fob got stolen from the car .. things happen sometimes

I was offered a cheap car just last week the fobs had been lost to it

Its just something i want to be able to do

I think your best bet is to find a computer programmer to figure out the math that these guys use to calculate wipe and reseed code: Lexus, Scion, Toyota PASSCode Calculator / Generator: Calculate Pass-code by Seed number | Immobilizer Pincode Calculator

And if you find a programmer to do the work myself and others on here will chip in for access to what you paid the programmer to do.

Priuscamper its so annoying to me that these 3rd party people can generate the codes so easy with their calculator but there is no free hack to do it lol, frustrates me immensely! :)

There are ways for manufacturers to lock down software that no one short of the fbi can crack it. Try to find a free entune navigation update. Not happening, but Toyota can sell you a one time download for your vin for a few hundred.

A guy I put a battery pack in for hooked me up with mhhauto.com which specialises in cracking auto diagnostic software systems. I paid $25 to become a member and am awaiting my password for a modified version of Toyota techstream software that you can use without worrying about computer being connected to the internet. So I just did a search on there and found this for you... Looks like it would cost you $125 to get the hack:

"Patch for the program to function ImmoReset Techstream v10.20.030 - after applying the patch program will be any value PassCode. - price 100$." TOYOTA Techstream any version ImmoReset PassCode Calc - MHH AUTO - Page 1

This might not be the solution that's best, but know these types of websites do exist and will connect you with people that can hook you up. So keep focused on finding what you're looking for. It's out there!

thanks mate, but i would not pay that for a software snick to be honest! my luck it would only work a couple times then your out of pocket, if its to be a calculator it needs to be really really cheap, just a cheap stand alone obd tool that works on gen2 prius without coupons would be ideal

but seriously gen2 is averaging 15 years old now and still can not DIY a fob when all keys have been lost without buying coupons etc? is just annoying.. Please all, if any new ideas pop up please please & please share it here, or pm me.. no matter how long since the last post! thankyou :)
