I really am hoping that ford and rivian get the electric pick up right.

I still think for towing a phev truck makes a lot of sense. I was talking with a friend whose SUV is underpowered for his towing. When towing a load he is getting about 150 miles with gasoline. He's thinking of getting an even less efficient pick up truck for better towing. I think I would get that in my long range model 3, about half the now towing electric range. With a phev you can easily charge for trips. I could see a pick up based on a rav 4 prime that with a bigger battery and mg3 and associated electronics could tow and haul really well. I'm sure he would like that in a tacoma pick up and it might become the daily driver if it was that much more efficient.

super chargers aren't really set up right for towing yet. In the future bev instead of phev.
