Welcome to AutoCheck I can't figure out how this Prime landed in Delaware. Someone bought it in Maryland, drove it less than 3,000 miles and then got rid of it to a GMC/Buick dealer in just two months.
My coworker bought a Volkswagen. When she came in for the first oil change, she fell in love with a Mercedes on the same lot. (The dealer sells both VW and MB) The sales people pounced and swapped cars "for" her all for $xx additional payments a month. What a deal!..... for the person buying the Tiguan on the used market. She later told me she will have to delay retirement by a couple of years. It was hard not to give her commentary.
Well the person gets $4500 Fed + possible $1000 MD credits, and if they moved to DE I think they would have to pay about 4% to register I am thinking if you move in. Lots of our friends retiring in DE and we certainly looked there but our family moved here.
Dela-where? Well, if the original owner bought it with the intention of doing it for the incentives, then cashing out, he/she may be out of luck. I believe you have to keep the car for a certain amount of time (at least for the Calif incentive). Not to mention the minute you drive a car off the lot, it loses a lot of its value. But it might give someone else a good deal in Delaware...
