    From Huntsville, looking at:
    • ~2,000 miles
      • four tanks one way
      • 30 hours driving (spare driver needed)
    • a week
      • three days driving
      • 3-4 night hotel or camping
    Can't make it this year.

    Have a great time!

Much as I'd love to attend...I've driven down before to attend GDE and visit friends, so I can't say it's too far...but I can't squeeze the time this year.

The last time I drove across country it took me 4 days in a 1968 Volkswagen van.

To get there from here on the right coast, averaging 65 mph, is approx 44 hours of driving.

Pushing it in my '04 I could probably make it in 3 days.

3 days out, 2 days there, 3 days back, one day with the chiropractor, 9 days minimum.

Looking at my schedule and checking my bank account, the only way I can make this trip is if I win the lottery.

Hopefully I'll see you all there! :)

Sorry. Can't make it. :( I've enrolled in a class that's meets only on Saturdays and could be related to my future work.

    Have fun!

Do I have to pay a registration fee if I don't want any of the stuff or food and I just wanted to stop by for an hour to say hi and look at all the Priuses? Lol.

This is a private, ticketed event.
The organizers have spent time, effort, and money to bring this event together.
To be a part of the event, etiquette dictates that you pay the registration fee.

    macmaster,
That was just my opinion, I'm sure the organizers will chime in and give you the official word.

In the meantime, you can always plan a fun small, local get together of your own if you just want an hours worth of chatting and talking about Prii. Pick a time and location and put the word out to people in your area.

No, what you originally said makes sense. I doubt its possible too. It wouldn't be fair to the others. Thanks again.

You aren't the first person in your area to mention wanting to get together to hang out and talk.
I hope that someone starts a local club and keeps things going.
I've run our local hybrid club since 2004 and it's been a lot of fun.
    Best of luck.
