Just noticed the little shark-fin antenna for the first time.

Nicely worded as it is, I'm not sure his disclaimer at the end holds an ounce of water. Unless this footage was shot with the permission of both Toyota and the BMG I don't think he's got any real legal standing. I'm glad he's posting them and I think Toyota would be wise to just let this one slide.

I was hoping that maybe the one we've been seeing in these video's all along would end up having the half solar panel roof like in the picture we saw from the Japanese newspaper... But it didn't. If it makes its way to the states on initial release though, that'd be enough for me!

Next thing we need a clearer shot of is the top part of the dash near the windshield to try and put any HUD rumors to either rest or confirmation I guess... But in 8 days we'll find everything out :)

Not sure if I saw anything new. That antenna on the roof could be for satellite radio.

It's good to see that I can fit several bodies into the back of the vehicle. I hope the new Prius has a long enough range that I can make several round trips out to the desert without having to waste time, stopping for gasoline. I'm glad to see that Toyota has it's customers' interests in mind. :)

    EIGHT days! :D

When will they be on dealer lots?

    ....

The disclaimer on the video is as revealing as it is confusing. "Blue Man Group appeared solely to Toyota..." yet "The author is not in any way affiliated with Toyota Motor Corporation."
Maybe he's just a really good computer hacker!!! :D
Here's the most-interesting part: "Blue Man Group appearance herein has been re-edited by author and is not presented in it's original sequence or format." ...To me, this implies that there IS an original Toyota video, and that the Bossdowner footage was created FROM the original Toyota version. (Bossdowner, I don't know how you do it, but I am very thankful that you have made these videos. We love the Prius, and we love watching your videos. Thank you. :) )

Notice both front seats had been shifted forward with the central console sticking out into the pax compartment.

I reserve any further opinion until 12 Jan.

I think the demonstration was there is a lot of leg room in the back.
Can't wait till the 12th. Getting excited.

Either that, or else it's a great place for making kids. :D
Maybe they're trying to add sex appeal to the Prius. "It's good for more than just transportation." :D

So it also has a headlight washer? Why? You can see it at 3:47.

It was at the very beginning when the BMG plugged in the stage lights. :D

Lots of leg room. Yup, got that pun right off.

i saw that the consumption/energy screen is now up near the main driver display, where it makes more sense -- looking off to the side (and, in the 2010, down) to glance at one's arrows is dangerous.

Its hard to imagine that this video was released without Toyota's implicit approval - or else whoever was responsible for safeguarding the raw video footage probably got fired.

The headlight washers are nice to have on long road trips, the last car I owned with that was a MBZ 400E (which also had headlight wipers to go with the washers).

I find it interesting that while the MFD has been moved, and apparently
downsized, the information that is available on the current Energy Monitor
MFD screen has been moved front and center, out by the speedo. This is a
good move. The info most needed for efficient fuel/energy use is now easily
and quickly available directly in the drivers line of sight.

But what happened to the supposedly important "fat yellow bar" graph on the
current MFD Consumption screen. Where did it go, it's nowhere to be seen...
maybe it's still available on the MFD. If so, it has been relegated to it's proper
secondary position... and I say it's about time.

A while back, I used to rant and rave about the near uselessness of the "fat
yellow bars." I don't anymore, although they're still a waste of valuable info
display space. Apparently, Toyota now has the same feelings about this that I
    do.

In this image we can see the consumption screen but not the whole thing. Maybe it is on the right as it is now but we just don't see it in the picture? I am not sure off hand if there is a shot in any of the videos we've seen thus far where it shows the whole consumption graph screen and if we did can one even tell if the right hand graph is there...

[EDIT: After re-reading your question, did you mean the whole consumption yellow bar graph screen or just the yellow bar graph that is on the right which shows the 'current' mpg as a bar graph? The consumption bar graph screen is shown below and I am guessing that the current mpg bar graph is on it just off to the right as we know now...]

    paradox,

By 'Energy Monitor,' I mean the screen with the colored arrows and pictures of
the wheels, ICE, battery, the SOC window, and the numeric instantaneous MPG
    read out.

By 'Consumption screen,' I mean the the bar graph with the big fat yellow bars
that track average MPGs over 5 min. intervals, and the smaller yellow bar on
the right that shows both numeric and graphic displays of instantaneous MPGs.

Of everything on this screen, only the iMPG is meaningful, and it is available
on the Energy Monitor. Ergo, this screen is, IHMO, useless in real time for
helping to get the highest MPGs.

Ok, that's what I figured you were talking about... So it looks from the pic that the consumption screen remains unchanged.

Um, won't it be the 13th in Australia when this is revealed across the river from me in Detroit?

To clean the headlight cover when it's covered in winter crud. Also in Europe, HIDs or LEDs require that headlight washers be installed.

I am glad that Toyota gave it a separate button. I can deal with the heated mirrors linked the rear defroster (cause most of the time, they'll both be needed anyway) but linking the headlight washers to the windshield washer would be annoying to me.

Well he's just catering to the rest of us. If he said 13th, we might all think he's a little nuts :p
