Antiskid icon on dashboard lights after sharp bumps

Twice while I have had this car it has gone over a particularly sharp bump. The first one about half a year ago was a cut out piece of pavement resulting in a 3" square edge the wheel rolled over. Today it was an odd pavement joint where the two pieces had pushed up against each other to make a sort of inverted V shape. In both instances there was a sharp jolt, and then briefly the little icon of a car skidding lit up on the dash, then went out. I believe that in both instances the brake was being applied at that time.

Does that indicate a loose connection or does that mean the antiskid function was activated normally?

The car has spun a tire on wet paint a few times and that icon never lit.
