    Hey All!

Just curious - is there any point to updating Entune? I purchased my car in July 2012 and never received an Entune update via USB nor has my dealership ever updated Entune. I'm getting close to 25k miles on the car so I'm wondering if I should be asking them to update it or not.

I know there was an issue before with the nav not telling you what side of the street your destination was so I never bothered updating at the time since that was important to me :p Haha.

    Thanks!

Depends on what entune version you have on your car, if it is above 2.0 you are fine.

Had the dealer install 2.2 during the 20K service.
Did it to get the "Your destination is on the Left/Right" GPS voice the that 2.1 wiped out.

Can anyone provide a download link. I'd rather update myself.

Toyota didn't put the 2.2 update as customer updateable, so you will have to find a Toyota Tech to help you out.

i was loaning my fathers C3 for a week, i connected my iphone so that pandora would work and I allowed it to use my iphone for internet. I installed entune on my iphone and everything and it asked me if I wanted to update the software in the car. it could save you a trip to the shop if you had an idevice with an internet connection (doesn't even have to be 3G or phone service. you could use an idevice with just wifi and get close enough to a free wifi hotspot), just install the entune app and it should auto-update

You didn't update the Firmware, you just updated the front ROM. There's a difference, but roms are able to be broken and still be fixed. If you break a firmware you have basically bricked the device.
