Any way to verify synthetic oil was used ?

    Synthetic oil has a higher flash point than dino oil, you can design a smoke test by heating up a small amount of synthetic oil and measure the temperature at which it starts to smoke. A similar dino oil can be repeated as a control.

    Comparing Mobil 1 0W-30 to Mobil Drive Clean 5000 5W-30, the manufacturer rated flash points are 228 C vs 200 C. You would need fairly accurate lab instruments to detect such a difference
