Anybody an Insect Enthusiast?

    The interesting thing about this bug, and now I really don't think it is in the bee, wasp, hornet, yellow jacket family, is that the body is very slender and tube like. It is not larger and the end and fat looking like the above mentioned stinging insects. The striping and coloring of the body is like a yellow jacket, black and yellow, but the body is completely slender and very long and the yellow jackets and other bees, wasps have a fatter end to the body.

    The long thing definately looks like an ovipositor I just checked out some more pics on that website the bug guide.com very cool website, when I have time I have to search more on that site.

    My next step is to take the bug to our local nature preserve place and see if someone can ID it for me.
