maybe a recording under the hood is appropriate as someone else opens the driver door.

the actuator is ahead of the driver, near the bulkhead. there should be a good buzzing

since you're getting an intermittent abs warning, it might be worth scanning for codes

The video was recorded with the motor off not in ready mode with my friend sitting in the driver seat. Taking the car in for a scan tomorrow I'll let you all know what the results were

Here's the bad news wondering if I should try to flush the fluid first before replacing the pump.

A flush may clear it up for a day or two but otherwise is a waste of money and effort that will be repeated later.

You should take it to Hybrid Pit for a second opinion and likely a better price.

Well it's been 8 months since my first post. I flush the brake fluid and the ticking noise stopped for a while but then came back.
I can hear the pump motor while the clicking noise is happening. The Toyota repair shop stated the clicking noise was from the Hybrid battery ABS relay. I have a used pump coming from eBay but before I install it I'd like to know what that clicking noise is. As far as I know there is no ABS relay in the HV battery pack. Had that out twice already in the last 4 years for reconditioning. Ticking noise is coming from under the car at a block where the brake lines meet on the passenger side. With this new information I hope somebody can help me understand what's happening. Thanks in advance.

The new information about the brake line “block” location tends to confirm this.

    Further confirms brake booster/actuator.

    Fix the brake booster.
