I wouldn't even call it a modification. The lip fits real tight side to side, otherwise every tab on the lip lines up directly with the factory mounting tabs on the front bumper. I didn't need a heat gun or anything else either. I mounted one side of the lip while a buddy held the other side in place, then moved around and mounted that side. From there its just drilling the holes into the tabs on the lip for the factory bolts to go through and using the supplied self tapping screws to pull the lip tight to the bumper where ever it is loose.

There was no cutting or trimming or custom molding involved. Yes it is a tight fit and you have to tug it a bit to get it around the bumper, but no major modifications are needed.

I'm gonna have to second HelloHybrid. I'm getting one too. It's a steal for 99 bucks. Can you post the link? Or is it the link that's listed on the earlier posts?

For anyone on the fence, you can use promo code CMOTORSMAY16 and get an instant $20 off. I just ordered one... page says only 30% of inventory left.

EDIT: I guess YMMV. Some people are saying the code didn't work for them.

Mine actually didn't come with any screws... Anyone have a pic of what the screws look like? Or maybe I can use 3M tape...

Joined the eBay lip club. It's not perfectly seamless on a 2012-2015 Prius, but it still looks really good for $100.

Nope, everything is really straight forward. I was able to install it solo as well. @Jessemkane mentioned his was a tight fit on the sides, but I didn't experience that. The biggest pain is just drilling the mounting holes, especially the ones for the plastic clips on the side of the bumper, near the tires. This was my process:

    1. Drill holes into lip tabs. I just guessed where the visual center of each tab was. I didn't do this, but might want to put 3M double-sided tape on the sides of the lip where they'll make the most contact with the bumper.

    2. Remove splash guard screws towards the front of the car. I remember there being 5.

    3. Remove plastic retaining clips on the sides of the lower bumper, near the front tires.

    4. Insert the lip in between the bumper and splash guard, and in between the 2 pieces where the plastic clips go. The lip should be held up off the ground at this point.

    5. Reinstall the splash guard screws.

    6. This step was kinda improvised as I went. I didn't have the holes drilled on the sides of the lip for the plastic clips to go through, because I had no idea where to drill them when the lip was off the car. I jacked the car up high enough to fit a screwdriver underneath and drilled the holes into the lip while everything was lined up. Reinsert the plastic clips.

    7. The front of the lip will still have a lot of play and wiggle since the curved part won't be sitting against the bumper, but rather underneath it. The lip comes with self-tapping screws. Use these along the front section of the lip to to secure it to the bumper. Jesse mentioned he used nuts and bolts instead of the self-tapping screws. If I remove the lip to paint it, I'll go this route as well since the threads probably won't hold anymore. This would be a little more involved since you'd need to completely remove the splash guard and have enough room to bend your arm to reach into the front of the bumper to drop the bolts in.
