Haven't seen another thread on this...can't believe no one was talking about it.

Just got two checks from Toyota yesterday, $125 USD each. One for our Prius, one for our Camry on the whole class action acceleration lawsuit.

Seems a bit like found money, but we'll take it.

It will cover my losses from the Oregon Ducks losing to the Wisconsin Badgers last night in the NCAA tourney.

I had a 2007 Camry that I traded for my 2011 Prius almost three years ago. I received my $125.00 check for the Camry two days ago.

I have to admit, I really do not remember how we "got" the settlement.

We do have a file -- and details would be there. But that would require me looking it up...anyway....glad to have the check -- not glad the Ducks lost.

Oh, well, I made super special chili for the game and at least everyone liked it!

Heading for Port Angeles, WA on Monday to take some pix of my "recently" dead uncle's old home. Family is wanting some pix and I don't particularly like Port Angeles, but the nearby areas are fantastic hiking areas.

Darn, just visited the website. Apparently, one had to file a claim to be included in the Class by the June 30, 2013 deadline.

Diminished value of your vehicle due to all the bad publicity from the sudden acceleration lawsuits and cases. Claim is that resale value had gone down due to publicity, so there should be compensation.

Not quite. Those who filed a claim will receive their's first. After that, the remaining funds will be mailed out to class members who did not file a claim. If you excluded yourself from the class, then you will not get anything of course, but you had to fill out a form to exclude yourself.

lol and people got $125 settlement? Ha ha ha what a bloody joke. So these hotshot lawyers sued Toyota and everyone who registered got $125?

What a big fat con. We all pay that in the long run you know. Nothing is for free, and a handful of lawyers are sat in the Caribbean enjoying the sun.

You think you got something out of this by registering? You got nothing. The lawyers manipulated your 'anger' for their gain. More fool you. What a sad situation.

Of course, in principle, I have to agree with you....

    But:

    1) I really don't think the value of our cars were hurt by this.

    2) I'd rather have the $250 than not, which without the lawyers, I would not have at all. And, they'd still all be spending their vacations in places such as St. Kitts anyway. :(
