Anyone have age data of PiP owners?

Based on a samples here & my situation, this probably has a higher correlation to socioeconomic demographic than age. The age just happens to be one component.

My primary reason for buying a PIP was the carpool lane sticker. I could not wait for Tesla S. I put the $500 deposit at a local Toyota dealership; when a car became available off the pre-order list, I grabbed it.

If I had been more rational, I would have realized that the sticker would not run out any time soon; I could have waited for a PIP Advanced :(

There's a whole body of knowledge on 'early adopters'.

And you could always trade-in. I bet the money you lose on the trade-in might get picked up in the rebates and tax incentives from both cars. Not suggesting you do anything resembling a corporation here…

I'm 52, and put a $500 deposit down at my Toyota dealer in 2008. By 2010 my Gen 2 (2004) Prius was showing its age, and I traded it in for a 2010 Gen 3... then 2 years later, Toyota finally comes out with the Plug In Prius.
I bought it, but I should have just skipped it, I've bought my last Prius :( the EV range just isn't quite enough for me, so I went ahead and put down my $5K deposit on a Tesla Model S, which is what I should have done 2 Priu ago (in 2010). Delivery "Spring 2013" is the estimate. I've already changed out (2) 240 outlets in my garage to 14-50's (50A 240V) over the weekend, I am Tesla ready as of now.

40 years old. Bought my 06 HCH when I was 33. I've been driving green for quite some time now.

I'm 64 and retired. I've been waiting years for a Plug-in. I live in California and I have the green stickers but I don't think I've used them yet... Did I mention I'm retired??

My green sticks came in the mail about 6 weeks ago. I still haven't put them on and I have never wished I had. I commute to work 7 miles each way all on surface streets. But I hope to join you in retirement in a few years.

    54 years old here. Bought my 1st Prius in 2005, 2nd in 2011 and the Plug-in June 5 2012.
I drive a Prius because it is the cleanest running car made that uses gas, not to mention it's beautiful and a feat of modern engineering. People don't realize that this is not just another car, it's something very special.
I remember the 1st Prius I ever noticed was in 2004. It was parked inside a mall on display. It looked like a spaceship had landed there and I knew I had to have one.

Well, I just responded to a PiP new owner survey from some company. So someone besides the posters here is gathering data…

You should have opened a "Poll type of thread" with a variety of age ranges that could be unanimous and will have a better response from readers .

Yes, but 2 factors: 1) It never occurred to me (I assume you mean just put some brackets and have people update the count in the bracket as they reply). 2) Even if I did that, the statistics would still be hopelessly flawed.
This post has had 700+ views, but what - about 10 people said they were under my age of 55. Are the rest older or do they just not care to reply? Then again, people on PriusChat might tend to be younger anyway since they are on-line - or is it the older people who are on-line because they have more timed being retired? I was interested to see if more than 2 or 3 people were on the young side. To my surprise, 10 or so people replied yes. But yes, point taken - if I were to post again, I do think I'd try to do it the way you suggest.

Think there was a general Prius thread on this. Could start a plug-in thread here but may end up in Fred's House of Pancakes.

Would surmise the large majority of PC posters range from moderately religious to atheist.
