    +1.

I would say it depends on how long you ran it with a gunked-up EGR.

Lots of people smoke 3 packs of Winstons a day for 50 years......quit.....and still die from lung cancer.

1 quart every 5k. Coolant has never moved. I was just curious how effective this is preventing headgasket failure. No problems yet.

Well doing the EGR cleaning will help, but who can say if it will prevent a head gasket failure.

I did the egr cleaning twice and changed the water pump out to ward off the head gasket issue;).

Do the cleaning now before you have a bigger job later (y).

Thanks. And one never drink too much wine. Been moving little by little since yesterday with the prius, four 27 gallon totes one way to work. Only 1 mpg less efficient with additional 300lbs of totes w/ 95% hwy driving also. Decided to gas up with Shell before moving, DTE was 567mi. Lets see how that brand of gas get with hwy driving, first fill up ever shell.
