Anyone have recent experience with new tires?

sorry to hear it. hopefully, they'll be vastly superior in other important area's. i think i'm going to price energy savers, or oem's. but i understand, neither is guaranteed to be as good as original.

I decided just to hold out until the next $130 Costco sale. I have 60k miles right now on my OEM Yokohama Avid S33's, so I can probably get another 10k miles before the end of the year for the next sale. I'm leaning towards waiting for a Bridgestone sale to get the Ecopia EP422 Plus due to availability of replacement if something goes wrong with one of the Michelin Energy Saver A/S.

I got 48k miles out of the originals. Got a good deal on Cooper CS5 tires all around. They drive wonderful but the MPG did suffer a bit as well as EV range. Used to get 13.4 miles now 11.3. The tires must be fairly heavy.

Got fed up with the OEM yoko's and threw them out at 18k.
After researching tirerack etc I decided on Continental Pure Contact.
Now that I have been driving them for one year I can say that the MPG is at least as good as with the OEM tires and all other driving parameters are improved. Wet and snow traction much better. While they are still LRR and not summer performance tires they are a nice improvement in steering response.
