Anyone headed to a You-Pull-It junk yard?

    If you’re going to a pick a part, can you check if there’s a JBL amp available for 2012 to 2014 prius? It’s under the passenger seat

    I think that is a very resonable explaination of how you use it, and smart.
    Why would you be worried about it?

    You can go to a fabric store, but some nylon strap as close to the size it is.
    Make your loop, then use some clothing glue to hold it together then use a sewing
    machine to keep it together. It doesn't need to be thick.
    I sew the straps on my seat cover if my dogs chew on them. Just use steady pulling
    pressure to help advance the strap and you won't brake a needle! Or two........

    Maybe try to find a braded metal strap. You can fold it in a loop and solder it together.
    Then solder the other end and drill a hold in it for the screw. ????

    The strap apparently tears apart at the stress point where the screw holds it to the panel.

    A larger fender washer might decrease the stress riser to a wider area to decrease the likelihood of the web ibg tearing apart at that point.

    Another method would be to grommet the hole.

    The Columbia Pull-a-Part is showing a 2008 and a 2011 in the yard inventory. Are there any other models that use that amp?

    Looks like the post to which you refer was back in August. This is a good example of how lots of people can help you with an immediate solution on here unless you're way too particular and difficult, in which case the people trying to help will become annoyed, especially if you wait 4 months to ask the same question again expecting a different answer. Which in this case actually worked. He's got a free OEM one being mailed to him.

    How about just making one from webbing you can buy at Home BigBox stores? you can probably find a new screw to fit nicely too.
