Anyone install a Curb-Alert front bumper parking sensor?

Having been made aware of how easy it is to kiss the curb with our low-slung front bumper/spoiler assemblies, I'd like to find some way to avoid any uh-ohs of my own. To date I've been sheepishly parking waaaay to far away from any frontal obstructions, hence my search for viable solutions.

Does anyone here have any experience with the installation and efficacy of the Curb-Alert Parking Sensor or other gadgets?

No idea, but I was following the mega thread "What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today???", and one of the posters mentioned the product from the Proxel website. (I can't give you a link yet as I have just joined, so you'll have to ask Google for the address!) Proxel is an Italian company.

It looks to be an interesting product. If I were keeping my Gen 3 Prius, I would be seriously looking at the Proxel product. Instead, I am instead getting myself the Prime Upgrade with Technology (Canadian model).

Running up and over concrete wheel stops I find is especially damaging, on our 3rd gen. The brilliant design of the front piece of plastic hooks like a barbed fishhook when backing off.

How about those old-school metal feelers? Cheap and effective. Maybe could be plastic-dipped mat black, make them less visible. One downside: they can snag debris.

Picture them on a Lexus, with the catfish grill...

After gouging the rims a number of times I now have metal feelers. Luckily there is a removable screw placed right where it's needed. Modern cars are WAY harder to tell where the 'edges' of the car are.

Curb feelers! I haven't see a set of those since the 60's. Where did you get them?

Those curb feelers will certainly protect the rims, but won't do a thing to protect the low slung plastic front of our cars. I also park too far back, but am gradually getting closer after two years with the car.

eBay - LOTS available but tend to be a few different 'models'. I got these:
Chrome Curb Feelers, Car, Truck, Street Rod, Each 689720950934 | eBay
You don't need the bracket, or at least my Gen3_15 did not. I did put some shrinkwrap on the first few inches to dampen the noise from vibrating when it hits something. Work pretty well actually. People ask me what they are for.

How will that sensor hold up blasting through deep snow?

Rob, let us know where & when you'll practice using your free method.
