Anyone interested in an "improved" and less expensicer version of the TUB153F 2 point front brace?

    Thanks for the info. This is really interesting work you're doing (and on the mid-chassis box beam too).

    Thank you,

    All the standard mid-chassis box beams have been sold. I will not be making any more of them. The design has been sent to a vendor, who is considering making them for sale.

    I have two "high end" ones, meaning more expnsive ones, beacuse they have been expensive for me to make.

    One is listed in "private sales" on Priuschat, and the other has been "partially finished."

    The one listed is attached to this link;

    For Sale - Custom "Tricked Out" Lightweight Prius"v" or gen III "box beam" mid-chassis brace | PriusChat

    Basically, for those who do not understand the process of manufacturing, prototype and production and matters of the "economy of scale," as well as those familiar with buying cheap "Made in China" goods from Dollar Tree and Walmart, making even one of the basic mid-chassis box beam braces from scratch, would cost me $300.

    It is with the kind support of those Priuschat users that I have been able to prodiuce the ones that I sold at the price that they got them for.

    I appreciate all of those, who participated,

    They will be available in mid-January or February 2013.

    Again, I appreciate your interest and your support.

    For someone who has never replaced suspension parts, how exactly would this improve the ride?

    I think the ride comfort will decrease but handling will increase.

    In my experience, these braces increase both comfort and handling of the Gen III Prius. Pls see my "Gen III Susension Modifications" post in the Gen III Accessories forum. I hope it is helpful.

    Hi Mike, I'm interested in the stiffing brace you have to offer. I just got a 2013 Prius V I would like to put it on. Do you still have any available? Just joined the forum to get in touch with you:)

    I have incorporated this brace with a special "very lightweight" mid under chassis brace noted in thrs other thread;

    A NEW version of my Gen III or Prius"v" box beam under chassis stiffener brace | Page 6 | PriusChat

    I have two of the back oven baked epoxy sets left and a couple of the blue finished sets.

    There will be a delay in making more front braces, because the special 10.9 J.I.S. bolts have been backordered for three months. I have not been informed of expected delivery.

    I have uploaded photos of the "blue" set including all the parts and also installed by a PriusChat member who purchased and installed it or his own car.

    These are the best made after more than 18 months of development. I have gone through over 12 prior versions or more.

    Chassis parts help reduce chassis flex, as well as improve stability of your ride. As far as the Prius goes, not until recently has the manufacture created braces to help this.
