If Danny brings back the PriusChat donor badge of honor with the new upgrades in 2007, maybe he could also add a F@H badge too. That may pique some curiosity in contributing to the Folding at Home effort.

Here is an image. Maybe something like this in our signature lines that links back to the beginning of this thread?

    Nice. :)

The only problem I see with it is that anyone can utilize it . . . anyone can give it to themselves. Whereas, a badge of honor issued by the powers that be at PriusChat would be someone acknowledging you for your good deed.

The badge of honor near your user name would be more highly prized, therefor inducing some to join the folding team.

I noticed we have a new team member, tcooper. Thanks!

I've also noticed that we've broken the 3000 number in team ranking - let's keep it up!

Glad to be involved! I'm a classroom teacher, and have it running on 4 computers in my classroom, 24/7. Hope it'll help!

Welcome! Looking forward to the points you'll add, and the good that will come out of it.

Thanks again, Tim! Your four computers will pass my single one soon!

I see you're now showing up as having completed your first work unit - congratulations!

And Tim - you've got 40 WU's now, and you've passed me in the 'team standings' - wow!

I'm going to fall fast in the rankings and lose my #2 spot, I'm afraid. I had to convert one of the machines I was using over to a server, probably not going to run folding client on that one.... The PS3 client has not been released yet, still waiting for that boot.

Are we in top 2000 teams yet? If not yet, then soon, I believe!

Not yet. The projections when I checked 5 minutes ago:
    Now: 2,614 In 24 Hours: 2,595 In 7 Days: 2,476 In 30 Days: 2,128

It looks like we might be able to crack the top 2000 by the end of February.

Every now and then I wonder if anyone would notice if I put the client on some of our test servers that don't get used much. :p

I'm doing pretty well. I allowed my folding program to accept project larger in size. My last project was roughly 20,000 frames. My new project is more complicated and takes longer to draw... still roughly 20,000 frames. This is why i'm getting a little bit more points than average per WU finished.

LOL - according to the predictions, I'll break into the top 100,000 contributors in another 30 days. My single little slow-poke desktop PC slogs away slowly, but it keeps on sloggin'. I, for one, won't complain if you find other machines to run Folding, and I promise not to tell. I haven't tried putting it on my work laptop because it tends to get very slow when I'm running multiple applications on it already.

Maybe we'll get some other new recruits soon!

Dang you guys are racking up the points and the Folders! Since this thread started I have gone from 1650ish to 1250 and team priuschat has gone from about 25000+ to 2455! That's awesome! But ya still can't catch me by the end of the year! I hope! Bigdaddy if you get the PS3 client you maybe able to make me eat my words but not if I start recruiting again or get one too! ;)

BTW, I have had F@H runnning on a Linux server for almost 6+ years nonstop and without touching it. I had another F@H client running on a Windows 2003 server for about 3+ years and it ran just fine. The F@H client will always take a backseat to all other processes requesting CPU cycles because it's priority is set so low.

Good Luck and happy folding, I await your acension to 2000 so that I can track you guys at my favorite site. . .

    http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/

Type in team name and don't forget to click the team radio button, but you'll have to wait until you break 2000 because it won't list you until them. On the other hand you could type in "Wildkow" and admire my folding team.

Sorry to hear that. If you are running the screensaver version, you might want to switch over to the command-line service version. You don't get the pretty molecule images, but I've found it is much more stable.
