Serra is probably out playing in her new car and we all want to hear all about it!
Do you know how many other Prii came in at the same time.

This gives me hope now that I know I am on the list for an '09

According to my dealer, who called me the other day to say the '09s were now shipping, but they don't yet have what I've asked for, the only change to the 09s is the added $500 cost.

Hmm, it took about 1 week when he first told me it was in port. I posted about 09 in 1 week. Customs/inspection or something like that. Then got a called today to come pick up the Prius.

Only thing I see added was
Carpet Floor Mats & Cargo Mat 199.00
    Read Bumper Applique 69.00

Those things we never asked for but they do look quite good. So we didnt want to bother him. Very nice person to deal with and extremely responsive to my noob questionings. So we're going to get another vehicle from him as well....and you guess it... PRIUS.

    Oh destination charge was 720.00

    Serra,

PS Oh, I just noticed the total amount we paid was the same so in reality we didn't have to pay more. So I guess every thing was as said per agreement. YAY

Desulliv, My Seaside Pearl #2 09 was in Gresham's allocation this week. No vin yet but they said they'd have the vin in a week or so. My paperwork also said the deposit was nonrefundable, but a salesman from Gladstone told me that by law they had to refund it. Of course Gladstone was trying to get me to take a car and break my deposit with Gresham!

I'm dealing with Gresham, also. I always thought I could get the deposit back if I needed to push it, but so far, I'm willing to wait for the car I asked for. They said a new allocation was due first or second week of September.

We got our 09 Prius yesterday. Initially we thought we will need to be on a waiting list when we were in dealership. But somehow someone back out the deal due to loan problem, and end it up we drove it home ;-)

We loved the experience so far, other than some confusion about the power button ... still learning ...

Put $500 down on an 09 Metallic Gray Option #6 a little over a week ago. At that time, there was no VIN so its a waiting game at this point. The sales person says maybe by the middle of September but I'd like to get surprised.

For the '09ers, did you notice if your new Prius favors/leans to the left?

This is the observation of several '08 owners. They say driver side is around 3/8" to 1/2" lower than passenger on a level cement driveway with properly inflated tires and more noticeable from the rear. I read about this on another Prius-dedicated site.

Toyota does not deny the observation but considers it a non-issue, that it's within the car's specifications. The car of the thread initiator was taken to a dealer lot and the supposed "lean" was measured with the car on a level rack.

I am on the way to getting a brand new Prius, and this issue has got me wondering if I should aim for a 2009 instead of a 2008. I'm also wondering if it's just an aesthetic concern or a safety one as well.

My '09 left Portland about a week ago and is on the train to Chicago. I am supposed to have it in the next few days after a truck ride from Chicago to Michigan. I already have the VIN number indicating that it is an '09. I read elsewhere that folks on the west coast already have taken delivery of '09s.

Just picked it up, Mag Grey 2009 Pkg 2. Now I can stop driving by the dealership a few times a day  It's factory with only the bummer app added per my request.

I got my '09 trim-level-6 on Saturday and I'm totally happy with it.
I do wish the sets would adjust up-and-down, but I'll deal with it.

My profile will say I have an '08, but there was no '09 selection!!
