Anyone try those $100-200 Android Head Units on Amazon or eBay?

    Hello,

A family member with a 2013 Prius 3 (Backup Camera and GPS, but no JBL) has a head unit/screen that seems to be dying. In hot weather above 80 or 90 degrees, it will not turn on. The backup camera will also stay off until the weather cools down. The Toyota Dealer Service people said told him that this unit is not manufactured anymore, and they offered to order an aftermarket part to install.

He was doing some research, and wanted to buy this head unit on Amazon - though it has mixed reviews, some folks mentioned that it works with the stock backup camera:

Here’s a video of someone installing it, although it's likely that neither he nor I would be able to do this ourselves:

I let him know to reach out to his local non-dealer mechanic to see if he could get a quote , and/or a recommendation for a local Car Audio place.

Has anyone used any of these cheaper head units?

His main priority is the backup camera. I guess Bluetooth and GPS would be secondary (he has a standalone Garmin GPS, though it'd be nice if GPS were integrated). He is not a big audio person.

    Thanks in advance!
