April 1: Japan and Korea auto sales fall / slump

    These are auto sales in their respective countries. In the USA, sales are more likely to show a dip from the initial 'sequestration' effects and even more pronounced next month. But it will take a while for the USA "conservative" media to figure this out.

    They won't figure it out. That involves a critical evaluation of data. They disdain that sort of activity.

    The Japanese market was artificially pumped up a great deal by the government incentives. Remove the government cash, the sales go down. The outlook is bad for the next few years, unless the government there gives away more cash.

    The US market is quite healthy in-spite of the end of the payroll tax holiday and sequester.

    The real numbers are in for the US and are quite good as a whole. GM and Toyota did a little worse than expected, but still did well.

    hybrid numbers are not in yet, but the outlook for the near future is quite good
