Funny time to try, you’d think they’d wait until gas prices go up

 

And now they are doing it again......with taking small efficient cars out of production......while keeping a "token" hybrid or all electric model in the lineup.

 

I just don’t see a market in this environment

 

And that was what, the 3rd time they'd made that strategic blunder since 1973?

 

Market might be me. I want an electric car, but most of the others on the market are not appealing. I don't buy cars in the >$30k* category. Never have; not expecting to change. I have no need for 0-60 in less than 11 seconds. I only need one seat beyond my own.

It's not a slam dunk for my use case, but it certainly has some appeal.

*2020 dollars, and that's without any kind of tax games. I'm really not into taking handouts.

 

They won’t need much funding then

 

I would prefer the original diesel version given the current tax environment, although maybe a plug in hybrid version would be exempt due to 3 wheels?

 

I would not give these guys any of my money until the car was running, right in front of me.

It is not even vaporware.

Why not? a rig that light won't need anywhere near as much juice as a hulking heavy 4-wheeler.

 

$25 biannual I am fine with

$200+ annual for a 2-3 season car not so much

 

Honestly the only thing I don't like about this is they've fallen into the same control trap as Tesla with the big touchscreen. I'm so over that.

 

there's not enough square inches

it would be ideal, but not practical

it's expensive

 

Obviously I'm not dependent on such a feature, but I'm not ready to write it off either.
