    Hi!
    New here.

Someone offered me a used battery. Which he says works.

I am currently not in need of a battery.

Still, thinking it's a good idea to store it - just in case.

Thing is: his battery is from a 2010 prius. Mine is 2011. Are these the same batteries? Are the cells the same?

    Thank you!!!

I believe they are the same.
Always good to have a spare hybrid battery.
You should get a charger to keep it charged up.

    Thank you for your answer.

It did come to mind. What kind of charger would I need for this?

    Thanks again.

The Prolong system is the easiest and what most people use.
There are one or 2 others I think, but am not familiar with them, and I
    believe they cost more.
With the Prolong system you attatch a harness, which is easy to do, then
plug the charger in, then discharger and the devices do the rest.

    It has worked for me.

I have the Venice hybrid charger system It charges the packet like 300 volts I think there's a switch on it that'll do Honda insight Toyota Gen 23 probably four etc and it charges the whole pack reasonably very quickly You run the charger until you see no change in the voltage in 5 minutes and then it's recommended to take the charger off the system You've reached stable voltage if you will.
