Are these tires good or bad? Prius V 2010

    There's something wrong: you're saying there's a 10% variation, between 215/45R17 and 205/50R17. I make it 1% variation.

    Yes it's off a 1/10th of a mile every mile. So in 10 miles I'm off 1 mile and 10 in 100. I checked it many times against the mile markers along several diff highways. When is go one mile marker to another it would read .9 rather then a mile. For all I know the other tires were off as well I never bothered to check.

    The difference as Mendel Leinsk states is close to 1% not 10%. Your oddo will read 0.1 under "0.9 mile" because that is the smallest increment it can register. Going only about 1/100 of a mile further and it will measure 1 mile. Tyres 10% larger will not fit in the wheel arches and will scrape on the bodywork on full steering lock.
    I use 205/55/16 tyres on my Prius against the OEM size in the UK of 195/55/16. These are about 2% larger than the OEM size.

    That sucks that means my gas milage is worse then I thought.
