Finding all the live and injured people in northernmost Bahama islands, and keeping them alive, will be a very large task. Counting the dead, perhaps impossible. So it's fair enough to speak out against smiling at this time.

I could instead have stressed that even where strongest winds remain offshore, tornadoes commonly occur.

NC islands (Okracoke and nearby) are now scene of many rescues after storm surge. Mandatory evacuation orders not followed. Not entirely unlike the bike helmet thing above.
