The final charge looks like half of full current and wattage

Ok, here's the latest. I borrowed someone else's parking spot that has a different 120 volt outlet. (same DTE meter but different line to outlet) as you can see between the two charts, the voltage is 8 volts higher on the "borrowed person's parking spot." So, I conclude, the sodium vapor lamp on my parking spot is probably defective, thus drawing excessive current ( enough to cause a ten volt drop in line voltage) PIP charger status 9-6-2012.JPG PIP charger status 9-8-2012 FROM PARKING SPOT 88.JPG

notice though, the PIP charger maintains constant current in both cases. (11.72 amps average)

This is the latest update of my Data Logger after I calibrated the voltage measurement of the Data Logger to my Battery Back Up on my computer and from my Fluke Multimeter. The duration of the charger when it's at half amperage was 18 minutes tonight (cold temps maybe?) 32.5 f Excel Graph of PIP charging status as of 12-11-2012.JPG

The voltage from my previous charts was 104 volts. The latest is 111.0 volts thus giving a higher wattage measurements and higher KWH due to the calibration correction

oh yeah, I almost forgot, I checked the amperage and wattage from both my KAW and Data Logger when charging stops and still plugged in 0.03 amps 1.1 watts. unplugged from PIP but still plugged into outlet 0.02 amps and 1.1 watts from the Data Logger .1 amp times 119.0 volts = 11.9 watts Interesting thing tho..........with nothing connected to amp clamp I get .1 amps and 6.1 volts with voltage probe unplugged, I haven't found any way to "zero" the probes.

yup, and as you read onward you will find I had to make a cable with separate "hot" and "neutral" wires and clamp the ammeter to the hot wire.:D

found out I didn't need two, so I sold the other one on Ebay

  11. Yes, I had a small HP meter that Al'so had a clamp on acces. I remember isolating a wire, in fact I did a plug in arrangement and pre-separated the wires, to eliminate doing this on other devices when using the clamp on.

  12. Constant Impedance ( relatively speaking )

  17. Are you planning on buying a tech stream analyzer? Last I heard Toyota pays $15,000 for one. The dealerships usually only have one.
