    I am a fan of head-to-head comparison test drives. From April 2016, these articles still ring true.

    By now you’ve hopefully read part one of this economy comparison test, where we set out for 100 kilometres of urban driving.

    The aim of part one was to find out which of the four cars on test – Audi A3 e-tron, BMW i3 range-extender, Citroen C4 Cactus and Toyota Prius – was the most efficient, city-friendly commuter. And the winner was clear.

    Interesting to read that no one would take the Prius home, despite frugality and up-to-the-job.

    Too bad they could not do a proper comparison by using the Prius Prime.
    Toyota Australia has determined that Australians are not interested in buying PHEVs.

    Apparently the Australian BMW i3-REx comes on at 18% with no option to start it at 75%. That is cruel but not as bad as the CARB hobbled version.
    It is pretty obvious they liked the plugin hybrids with references to others that were not part of this test.

    The variety in the Aussi car market is so limited, I understand why. Of course I’m the guy with a BMW i3-REx and a Prius Prime. It did reveal I have no interest in the Audi.

    The Prime is the closet to the Audi but Prime is so much more efficient. Toyota could crush them with the Prime.
