Hey all! Been a while. Trying to help a friend out. He was quoted $160 labor to replace his coolant control valve, which he'll be bringing a brand new OEM part. They also quoted $40 for 2 gallons of coolant. Wondering if that sounds right or if there are other recommendations?

    Thank you!

Make sure whoever does the job only uses Toyota SLLC. However, you might want to read up on changing the engine coolant in the gen 2 Prius - it's extremely difficult to bleed all the air. First time I'm really thinking about it, but perhaps you can change that coolant control valve without draining by using hose pinch clamps.
