I have a Autel Ap200 OBD2 bluetooth dongle that I use with the MaxiAp200 app, it works fine but I don't get a lot of battery health info so I downloaded Dr. Prius, problem is that when I try to connect to the Ap200 dongle, it just says connecting ... and minutes later nothing happens :(

Anybody have the same problem or have a solution?

    Thanks!

For Dr Prius you'll need a generic Bluetooth dongle like an elm 327 or something like that I think it will communicate with the doctor Prius app and as a basic OBD2 communications device that is somewhat bidirectional so that should allow Dr Prius to work Dr Prius should not work with the AP200 piece not at all I wouldn't have expected that in any kind of way. To see battery information with the AP200 I'm sure you'd have to look at freeze frame data in the respected module of the AP200 which would be you know battery power whatever hybrid section that sort of thing It's not made real pretty like Dr Prius is to show you all the blocks and bars and all the stuff you see in Dr Prius that was made for Prius people by Prius people so there's always that but you should be able to get battery information block information and stuff like that it's just not in a pretty GUI it'll be in freeze frame data which will be numbers and text but that's really all you need You want to see what your battery is your state of charges any blocks that are having low voltage or what have you should be able to be seen as such

You need a generic ELM327 Bluetooth dongle to work with the Dr Prius app. Take a look at the website, Dr. Prius App

Thanks! Just ordered a generic from Amazon.

I thought all of these obd2 dongles were pretty much the same, just buy a compatible one and it works, had no idea I would need a different one to work with an app!

the Autel AP200 is all you need. You do realize that Dr Prius only scans the Hybrid system and is blind to other systems (ABS, BCM, TPMS, etc) It only gives you a fancy UI to display the status of the modules and that's it. All the information on those graphs is also present from Autel AP (plus the INF codes which is very important)
