Ideally I'd like to not have to drive to work with my car in that state. Hoping to physically install the passenger side mirror and run the new wires this Saturday so at least it's working with the base features.

I'm trying to see what wires I can do inside the car separately from the mirror installation so I can break the work into small steps I can do after work on weekdays. I've prepared the ground for the folding controls in the driver's side door and plan to wire the folding controls from the ECU to OK2 before I do the mirror installations.

I will likely skip the junction boxes and run the wires from passenger to driver side along the same path my door light ran to simplify my setup. If I had more time and a better place to do the work, I'd probably do it like you did.

If pulling the lower dash panels only will give me more room, I'll try that first and go from there.

When you remove the dash pad can you access grommets to run wires from the engine compartment to the cabin? Considering attempting adding panoramic view monitor or a camera up front.

Am I reading these notes wrong? I feel there's discrepancy on the pin locations:

    Door Side New
1 MV Red | 9 MH Lt Blue
    2 | 10 M+ Black
    3 MR Violet | 11 MF Green
    4 +B Black | 12 GND Green
    5 | 13
    6 BTL Red | 14 GTL White
    7 + White | 15 E W/B
    8 BSL+ Pink | 16 B Black

Comparing this against the old door side layout, pins 3, 11, and 16 are the new ones. Is pin 16 the turn signal?
    3 - Mirror Reverse
    11 - Mirror Forward
    16 - Turn Signal (?)

K21 - 10 - Mirror Forward - lavender/pink - supposed to go to a junction connector then off to each door
    - Drivers Door - pink <|> OK2 connector in driver footwell/pin 2 <|> green <|> O9 connector near mirror/pin 10
    - Pass Door - gray <|> NK1 connector in pass footwell/pin 2 <|> red <|> N9 connector near mirror/pin 10
K21 - 24 - Mirror Reverse - lavender/violet- supposed to go to a junction connector then off to each door
    - Drivers Door - sky blue <|> OK2 connector in driver footwell/pin 13 <|> violet <|> O9 connector near mirror/pin 4
    - Pass Door - black <|> NK1 connector in pass footwell/pin 13 <|> violet <|> N9 connector near mirror/pin 4
    K21 - 25 - Ground - white/black - connect to a ground(can either splice to previous ground or to K21 - pin 13)
    K21 - 38 - LH Turn - violet - splice into wire - yellow <|> OK2 connector in driver footwell/pin17 <|> black <|> O9 connector near mirror/pin 5
    K21 - 39 - RH Turn - pink - splice into wire - sky blue <|> NK1 connector in pass footwell/pin17 <|> black <|> N9 connector near mirror/pin 5

According to these notes, I should be using pins 4, 5, and 10.
    4 - Mirror Reverse
    10 - Mirror Forward
    5 - Turn Signal (?)

Shoot, the problem is with the second set of pinouts.

TLDR: Use everything in the second set of pinouts except the O9/N9 stuff at the end. Use the first set of pinouts for those connectors.

    Full story:
I'm guessing I got the second set from the US wiring diagram. My annual subscription ended yesterday, so I can't double-check. Sorry, but it's been about a year since I did everything and I made notes back then for the moment, not for posterity. I think O9/N9 are the names for the 11-pin connectors that need to be replaced if you have the Panoramic View Monitor option.

Long story longer, Toyota uses the 11-pin when the market has PVM or folding mirrors w/ turn signal, but not both. USA/Canada has PVM but not folding/turn, and Mexico has folding/turn but not PVM. Japan and Europe have both, so they get the 16-pin connector(O11/N12).

So the US wiring diagrams(which include all North American cars) have both the US and Mexico ways to wire the 11-pin. I must have used that for some stupid reason when I made up the second list.

When I put together the more recent list for you(the one you put first), I used my notes from 1.5 years ago when I still had access to the Europe wiring diagram with the 16-pin connector(which is the same as the Japan).

This should be the corrected version:

K21 - 10 - Mirror Forward - lavender/pink - supposed to go to a junction connector then off to each door
    - Drivers Door - pink <|> OK2 connector in driver footwell/pin 2 <|> green <|> O11 connector near mirror/pin 11
    - Pass Door - gray <|> NK1 connector in pass footwell/pin 2 <|> red <|> N12 connector near mirror/pin 11
K21 - 24 - Mirror Reverse - lavender/violet- supposed to go to a junction connector then off to each door
    - Drivers Door - sky blue <|> OK2 connector in driver footwell/pin 13 <|> violet <|> O11 connector near mirror/pin 3
    - Pass Door - black <|> NK1 connector in pass footwell/pin 13 <|> violet <|> N12 connector near mirror/pin 3
    K21 - 25 - Ground - white/black - connect to a ground(can either splice to previous ground or to K21 - pin 13)
    K21 - 38 - LH Turn - violet - splice into wire - yellow <|> OK2 connector in driver footwell/pin17 <|> black <|> O11 connector near mirror/pin 16
    K21 - 39 - RH Turn - pink - splice into wire - sky blue <|> NK1 connector in pass footwell/pin17 <|> black <|> N12 connector near mirror/pin 16

    Sorry about that.

I appreciate how much information you've been given me. I'm just mapping everything out and preparing pins to make it easier, so I'm coming across inconsistencies now.

I see for the Multiplex Master Switch, pin 9 is used twice:

    K16 - 26 - Mirror Reverse - brown <|> OK2 connector in driver's footwell/pin 3 <|> sky blue - to Multiplex Master Switch in driver's door/pin 10
    K16 - 28 - Mirror Forward - violet <|> OK2 connector in driver's footwell/pin 14 <|> sky blue - to Multiplex Master Switch in driver's door/pin 9
    Multiplex Master Switch:
Splice a wire off of pin 7(white/black - ground) and run to pin 9

I hope pin 9 is actually the ground, because I already plugged that and spliced it in yesterday.
K16 - 28 doesn't exist, as it is a 27 pin connector, based on the image I found from the PDFs uploaded in this thread previously. Do you know where Mirror Forward's correct pin on the ECU side is?

K16-28 should be K16-27. Just a typo on that one.

    K16-26: MR(brown)
    K16-27: MF(violet)

And, sorry, but it's pins 7 and 8 that are grounds, not 7 and 9.
Here's the pinout for the switch:
    O13 (switch)
    Code:
    1 ILL- Black
    2 VL Red
    3 HR Blue
    4 HL Lt Blue
    5 VR Black
    6 B Red
    7 E White/Black
    8 E White/Black (new)
    9 MF Lt Blue (new)
    10 MR Lt Blue (new)
    11 M+ Black
    12 ILL+ Red

Welp, time to figure out how to negotiate the pin out of 9 with this depin kit!
