I got in a fender bender and I am doing the autobody repairs myself. There is one mounting bracket on the radiator upper support (part 5320247020) that is destroyed and needs to be replaced. But the main stretch of the upper support is not bent or damaged. One end of the support is bolted, the other is welded. What do you think is the best option to repair this? I already have the whole upper support part. Here's what I'm thinking...

    Option 1:
Drill out the welds, put in the new upper support, put in bolts instead. Is this a bad idea?

    Option 2:
Drill out the welds only on the mounting bracket on both the new piece and the damaged one, bolt the new piece onto the old one.

    Option 3:
Bend the old one back and bolt it.

    Option 4:
Track down a friend that can actually do the welds.
