I haven't added an extra inverter radiator to my '15 yet. Is it absolutely necessary, no. But anything that can be done to keep temps down is a plus. I have used Hawk HPS pads before and still have the ones from my '11 Prius. I'm still undecided if I'm going to use them. Since you're going to be in a Street Prepared (FSP) or even SMF (Street Modified FWD ) you could use a racing compound tire. If you have a seperate set of wheels this is the route I would go. The Hankook Z214 is a very good choice. If it's a tire you're going to be driving on the street as well then either the Bridgestone RE-71R (which are on backorder ) or what I'm using, Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Spec. I recommend a 205/50/15 if you're going to have them mounted on a set of dedicated autox wheels. That size is slightly smaller diameter which aids in acceleration and is lighter.

Are these the Dunlop Direzza ZIIStar Spec? Do you know how much smaller these tires are? 1" smaller?

Yes sir these are the Dunlops. After originally ordering Bridgestones the first week of April and the ETA being pushed out to the 2nd week of May I had them switch my order. Here's how the 2 sizes compare.

I have no experience with any of those personally. I know the Dunlops I purchased are the revised version of those they tested. That article also appears to be from 2009. Are you wanting something for everyday use or just autox?

Just for an extra set of 17x7 wheels I picked up to replace my ugly steelies - I'll use them as my winter set as 16" will not clear my BBK I'm fabbing. During the summer I'll strip off the winter tires and use the rims for autocross once I locate some sticky 215/45R17 tires.

Then I'd definitely recommend Hankook Z214's for sticky....

Installed my Mishimoto oil catch can today. I have a slight vacuum leak somewhere that I'll trace down tomorrow but otherwise happy with the install. uploadfromtaptalk1461455738938.jpg

After looking into my intake manifold and seeing what appeared to be oil, I've contemplated a oil catch can. Whether it would be beneficial or not.

I'd say they are beneficial even for everyday driving. Considering one mountain I climb going to work the engine stays over 4k RPM for 5 miles and autocross duty I picked one up.

Well got the alignment dialed in for Sunday's autox. Managed to get -1.8 degrees camber on the front. Adjusted toe to just a hair under 1/4 degree negative (out). Also checked my oil catch can since it's been nearly 500 miles. uploadfromtaptalk1461972075557.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1461972081702.jpg

That's awesome! U should do a diy for the front alignment because I want to max the camber and play with Toe setup. And maybe a diy for the catch can because that's a smart idea!

Loaded and ready for its first autox. Rolling out at 5am, looks like it may be a rainy one.

I could give you the specs and the P/N for the camber bolts I used for the alignment. I actually thought about doing a little write up on the catch can though.

I would think a heavier rear sway bar, and/or a thinner front sway will give you more turn-in.

Headed that way in about an hour. I'll keep you updated.
This helps with rotation once in the corner. I did have a Rav4 front bar on the car but you're only allowed one bar upgrade in my class. Since I added the TRD rear sway bar I swapped the front back to the OE bar.

Not too bad for the first outing with this car. Street tires grip a bit different than full on R-comps so I have a bit of a learning curve. I over drove the car. Could have been a bit smoother in the later sections of the course. Next event is a double header on June 18th and 19th in Danville, Va at the airport. Completely different surface and more open.

And.....41.5mpg for the day, including 5 autox runs.

1.352 seconds behind first place car in my class.
