automatic rear view mirror occluded and malfunctioning

Changing to nondimming mirror will not get rid of the split rear window. You can turn off the auto dimming function to try it out before swapping out for a non dimming mirror.

 

Thanks, but turning off the Homelink mirror won't improve the glare problem, it'll only assure glare 100% of the time.

Those of you who installed the Homelink mirror yourselves by replacing the standard OEM mirror---did you encounter any issues attaching it to the standard mount that is attached on the windshield or did it require any modifcations? Thanks!
