Correct, that is not the correct type of fob for an SKS car. There are some whose attitude is 'I don't care about SKS or the remote function, I just want it to start the car', usually because to do the proper job costs a lot.
I believe you will need to do a reseed and then add the silver logo fob. You might need to call upon the services of a licensed automotive locksmith or a Toyota dealer to do this for you.

Why can't I use the components from my 2007 donor car? It has the working silver SKS key already working on it. The fob still locks and unlocks the doors. And again I'm still not talking about using the SKS feature. I'm just talking about the buttons working on the fob.

Does any one know which components I need to remove from the 2007 donor car and reinstall on the 2005?

Ok, so I'm on my own. No one knows the components that need to be swapped out to fix the two errors mentioned in this post. B2775 and B2795

I have 13 or 14 priuses that i keep running. 2001-2013 Gen 1- Gen 3. I should probably get the tech steam.

AFAIK you would have to swap the certification ecu, and maybd the hybrid control ecu(?). This assumes that all wiring is the same from the 05 to 07.

What about the sks immobilizer. Where are the others that you mentioned located? Which one has the key's memory in it?

Get the service manual. Somewhere in the smart key section it mentions the certification ecu, the transponder ecu, and the hybrid drive ecu all having to be "registered" with each other before the car can start. So you might have to swap all those parts, (or you could "just"add new fobs to your 05- requires Techstream and access to special codes to "reseed" the security ecu. The dealer or a good locksmith can do this).

Again, IDK if the parts from the 07 will work in the 05. There's a bunch of "minor" changes from the 04-05 to the 06-09. Also, IDK which module stores the Vehicle ID number, or if having a different VIN on the car would be a problem for you. Some states have regular inspections where they have to plug into the car and pull the VIN and OBD2 monitor status. In NJ (or CA) having a mismatched VIN is a no-no.

B2775 2005 prius alarm going off. Lights flashing.

I got an SKS key(silver Toyota emblem) now working with my car. Brand new battery. In fob 3v(2032) and car 12v. The buttons also now lock and unlock the car. The car starts with the key not inserted. Yey!

At 4 am the alarm starts going off. The only DTC is B2775 immobilizer. I guess I'm going to replace that. The B2795 unmatched key code went away.

I left the battery unplugged for a day and now I'm only getting p2796. Is that the immobilizer/ sks under the multi display?
