    i assume the socket is defective, or this maybe the first ever case of a socket being damaged in an accident, without the lens cracking.

    Ok. I've got it.
    1. Pump water into the lens until the bulb floats up.
    2. "Sticky stuff" on a stick to remove the bulb.
    3. Pump the water out.
    Yes, I'm kidding.
