    Tell them it's done using Techstream. If they don't know what that is then never go back to that dealer again.

    That's pathetic. With Techstream that they must have, it should be a two minute fix.

    Do they only have one mechanic and one bay?

    retired4999 has the right advice. Go to a different dealer.

    With the boot (hatch) lid open are there any issues with exhaust fumes entering the car?

    No mention has been made by the people above so I suppose not, but I have had cars that would choke you within a mile when I tried this.

    Agree, I had same experience but those were older, comparative "dirty" cars. A relatively new Prius would be emitting extremely low Unburned hydrocarbons, which would choke us, and near zero CO which would kill us.

    This works great. It is one short beep - NOT a continuous beep even though a dealer in Golden, CO said it would be continuous. Dealer made this change on both our 2012 and 2013 Prii.
