Bad combination meter - DIY worthy?

    From the 2010 Repair Manual:

    Meter or Gauge
    ODO meter
    Communication Signal
    ODO
    Sender
    Skid Control ECU
    Communication Line
    CAN (CAN No. 1 Bus)
    Receiver
    Combination Meter

    Maybe in the Gen 2 the odometer data may be stored in the Combination Meter but from the 2010 Repair Manual it appears that it is stored in the Skid Control ECU and sent to the Combo Meter for display.
