Bisco wants more light - tricky. Given a rotating sphere, more hours on one side could come at cost to other side, but speeding and slowing planet rotation would be worse than you might imagine. A little-known HG Wells story considers it.

Or, may be wanting more intensity over same hours. Simply done by making Earth orbital radius smaller. I did not say easily done. Nor that it would be of global benefit. Have you missed all the +CO2 talk? It concerns +10s of watts. A smaller earth orbit could do much more; get to Venusian hotness even before bumping into Venus.

Hate winter? Hate seasons? OK then, straighten out earth's angle of precession. Longs and shorts go away. I see a lack of earth system/ecophysiology model studies considering that. Perhaps because it is highly improbable and probably catastrophic. There are much smaller fish in need of frying.

Move close to equator and that thing fades. If one's troop of college kids goes afield near tropical sunset, without flashlights, they go nna find out how fast that curtain comes down.

So, yes, move close to equator if you seek similar days and nights. Find land about 2000 meters up for suitable T. With option for 2500 m if things get frisky. It is an unintended benefit of poor teaching that many such lands have not already become over priced.
