Hi. I just bought a used 2014 Prius that is out of warranty but for the battery and related components. Will it void or affect my warranty to use non Toyota parts such as oil filters, air filters etc...? Thanks

If the engine warranty is expired I think it's not an issue. And likely not an issue while you're within warranty. Though oil filter I'm not 100% sure.

Are Toyota parts not readlily available, or is this to save a few dollars? I've used nothing but Toyota parts (basically oil filters, have yet to change an air filter) and found them very dependable, regarding fit and quality.

You are asking a legal question, and I am not sure about Puerto Rico's legal system. If it is covered by US law, as it should be, the the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act places the burden of proof on the manufacturer to prove you used inferior parts. You are assumed to have used equivalent parts in the US.
"Warrantors cannot require that only branded parts be used with the product in order to retain the warranty." - Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act - Wikipedia

Thanks Mendel Leisk. Yes, Toyota parts are available. I just thought I might upgrade to more high end parts. Do you think it’s perhaps not worth it to upgrade?

Agree, not worth it. In particular, steer clear of reusable, oiled air filters, K&N and the like.

There are no more high end parts, just high end advertising.

I was about to say the same thing. Toyotas last a long, long time, because they are well designed and well made from well made parts.
