Hello all. I bought a 2015 Prius Four two weeks ago. 21,000 miles. I have been very happy with the car except for one thing- the $%^&%$ beeping when the car is in Reverse.

How exactly can a lifeform maintain sanity and turn the beeping off? I have read that there is a device to purchase?

    TIA

The dealer can change it to a single beep. They should not charge for that.

Beep? What BEEP??? You won't even hear it when you're over 60. :ROFLMAO: Just kidding, of course. I hear it, but it doesn't bother me at all. I just tune it out. Must be a "thing" among you younger peopleā€¦

The best hardware to buy for turning off the beeper is Carista. Now I only have one beep. I've still lived with the annoying beep for 11 years on my gen 2.:) It's very easy to use and set up. Took about 5 minutes.

You can also get much cheaper OBD2 Bluetooth Scanners. Mine is an ELM327 V1.5 purchased from ebay for $10. The Carista software for Android will read from the scanner for free. To change options like door locks, the backup beeping, and the seatbelt beeping, it costs $10 for 1 week access to change the options.
