    Hello! I am brand new!

I like the Prius chat forums and now would like to introduce myself but also post my first question.

I just bought a III Model Blizzard Pearl 2012 and I have been considering some wheel upgrades. I want to have something in the 17 to 18 inch range while still keeping the weight down to be able to also get some 50+ gas mileage.

I think a White on White idea is cool but a lot of the sites I look at don't say anything about a 5x100 pattern white wheel that is going to work. (Tirerack, Wheel fire etc)

So I was wondering if anyone here already had a Prius 2010+ with white wheels and had some pictures to show off and maybe give me a decent range of places to look.

Trying to keep the overall price of wheels and tires at 1500 or less and I may end up lowering it to fill any gaps.

Please let me know and thanks for any response!

You might consider having your OEM rims powder coated.
It sould cost less than $1K for stripping of factory finish, custom
color base coat to (closely) match your Blizzard Pearl, then metal
flake coat (if appropriate), and finally the clear top coat.

The dificulty here of course is not being able to drive your baby
while the work is being done.

I did this in red on my '08 Touring about 4 years ago and the rims still look new:

Naw the black ones under the OEM Hubcap are ugly and they are only 15 inch. I can't imagine making them white it potentially could be uglier...

Someone here did that and it made the spokes look way too fat. Thinner spokes are the way to go when choosing white rims.

I looked forever in the beginning for white rims, or white-accented rims and finally gave up...... I, too, love the white-on-white theme...

I saw another Gentleman on this forum had these....These look awesome especially with the red and the drop.

I think something like this would look great with white but I wanted to see it actually on a blizzard first. If it looked good I would go with this I think.

1ULV2H8 has the red car, and that is just sweet! Maybe it will look good like that white on white, doing ghost car action?!

Anyone good enough with photoshop to take his red car and change the saturation of the color to make it look white? Ill give you a dollar!

I am going to have my factory wheels done over the winter while they're off the car.
