i think you would have to go to the skateboard battery. you're taking the engine and cvt out, so there are all kind of options.

 

The skateboard design has so many advantages to it.
Space, safety, potentially handling. As Bisco said, it really does give a lot of options.

 

i prefer the cargo area. not interested in a sedan, which is why i'm waiting for model y. but i have no idea which model would be more popular worldwide.

 

I’m guessing the Y. However, I love the 3, and wouldn’t trade it for the Y.
I actually prefer the sedan style, and have found the trunk opening the best designed sedan trunk Ihave ever used. The thing is cavernous

 

i like our hycam, but prefer the hatch on a regular basis for my lifestyle. my wife even borrows it when something is to large for the passthrough, but it is a tiny passthrough.

i can't wait to see a model 3 trunk in person, the pics look odd.

 

I was surprised myself once I saw it in person.
The hinge is up higher on the pack pillar, allowing the trunk door to open widely.
The back seats fold down, allowing full access for larger items. The only drawback is, of course, items that are both tall and wide.

The hatchback is still the king when it comes to cargo volume, but the 3 does a great job as far as sedans go.

I'm always impressed by the Volvo/Ford trunk hinge. It is a gas strut affair that allows greater than 90 degree opening, and does not intrude into the cargo space at all.

 

No, not in all Tesla stores. They do have them in some. Primarily the east and west coast, so one in your area may have one.

Alternatively, I expect they are showing up at most car events, especially those for electric or alternative fuel vehicles.
In Minnesota, the Model 3 is becoming the most common car turning up at Ride & Drive and plugin club meetings.
