Hi. I will probably be needing to replace my brake actuator soon (44500-47141). My local dealer gave me a price for part of $1819.19 - I think that included tax. Where can I find the best price on new one. Has anyone purchased this part new lately and/or can recommend where the best pricing could be obtained.

    Thanks in advance folks-

Lots of ABS actuators available used 44510-47050 if you decide to go used, is 44500-47141 the part number on your actuator or is it the number from the dealer or parts.toyota.com for your vehicle.

My 2008 listed part is 44500-47141, but looking at my ABS actuator the part number label is 44510-47050, you can see the number by looking behind the inverter cover. Area to look circled in red, barely see the white label circled.

A discussion on the different part numbers.

44500-47141 replaces 44500-47140 and is the correct part for a 2008.

Personally, I would not buy a secondhand one, especially the 44500-47140 variant. Secondhand they are not cheap enough to make the risk worthwhile and like a box of chocolates, you don't know what you might get.

Tampaprius.com installs used for $800, 6 month warranty according to the link above and below. Maybe jerrymildred can chime in seeing as he works for Tampaprius.

Price in Canada for 4450047141 is $2000, I can get an ABS actuator used for $200, think I'll try the $200 part for now. Considering I only paid $1100 for the Prius, don't think I'll spend $2000 for the part.

The best price currently in the US is $1134.

I'd imagine the new part number will have been updated with the learnings from the recall, so I'd be wanting that part (new or secondhand) if I had to replace it.
