Hey guys, as you may know I just replaced all my speakers with kickers and installed a 10" comp S sub. But I totally forgot about replacing the stock tweeters. Does anyone have suggestions for me to replace them with? I know I saw something about alpines but I didn't see a size or model number that works best with the second gen. Currently I'm running kickers all the way through but I just want something that will fit and sound good. Thanks y'all.

alpine sps-110tw will clip right into the tweeter triangle on a non jbl car. not sure if they fit the jbl or not. very smooth and clear sounding.

So I am putting my tweeters in and wired the tweeter to the positive and the negative as you are supposed to and wired the other two wires to my door speaker and now only the tweeter is getting power and not the door speaker. Any suggestions as to what I may have done wrong?

unless you have jbl, make sure the woofer and tweeter are wired in parallel. if you have jbl, you may have reversed the wires and have the tweeter hooked to the woofer channel.

    Yeah it's non-jbl system

Would it be possible to bypass the tweeter completely with a resistor or something?

the tweeter can just be disconnected from the non jbl harness. now that I think about it, the non jbl wiring was kinda odd because of the way the tweeter was sort of used as a junction for the woofer. you need to verify you have put the speakers in a correctly wired parallel circuit.

so from this image, the wires to LF tweeter pins 1 & 2 need to be wired together, and pins 3&4 need to be wired together. same thing for RH side. seems to me I just crimped those wires into the connectors for the alpine tweeters
