    I bought this little jewel on eBay. Waited 2 weeks and doesn’t fit on the back.. What a bummer!

    Time to plastic dip!

    Said it was for the Prime :cry: They even had pics of it on a Prime. First thing i checked was for what generation

    came from thailand so shipping took forever :cry:

    I don't think the Prime is sold in Thailand. The problem with overseas products is that they just assume and don't bother cross-checking.

    Does your Prius have the Radar Following option? If so, you may want to think twice before a cover over that emblem, as I understand it, that's where the radar signal gets emitted.

    Ooh this is for the back emblem. I dont believe it has a radar. The front I’m going to plasti dip mines with a 2 light coats I’ll jist plasti dip the back one :eek:

    All Primes, like all Gen 4 Prius, have the radar cruise control. The radar sensor is located behind the front emblem. I would be very cautious about modifying anything on the front emblem.

    It is expensive too! :eek:

    Make sure whatever you do is reversible. If you get radar sense errors you may need to remove your customization.

    The radar will let you know immediately when you turn the car on if the Plasti Dip is too thick. I redid my front the first time I plasti dipped it because it was throwing 'clean me' errors. The second time I went in with the black then used a special paint over top of it to do a design then a gloss Plasti Dip over top and the radar works fine. The distance it senses things is the same too. I checked. 1521766584162.jpg

    No. Just throw some painters tape and newspaper around the emblem so over spray doesn't get on the front of the car or the plastic grill. That way cleanup will be easier. If you don't tape it off, you can peel the majority of the overspray then use WD-40 and a soft rag to wipe the rest of the overspray off.
