After finding out what it would cost to ship my new PIP from CT to TX, I had planned to fly and drive to pick it up. She who must be obeyed said no way, because she was worried about me driving alone for 2 days. She is so gloating now that I could never have picked it up yesterday! The good news is I got a refund on my otherwise no refundable airline ticket. Now I'm just hoping the truck that picked it up last Thursday was long gone from New England before the storm hit!

Hopefully they left before the storm or there will be a delay.

I thought the PIP was sold in Virgina. A SE corner VA dealer should have a good deal on one . . . if you asked.

Regardless, the deal is done! ENJOY!!

During January, the best deal was in NJ, NY or CT, where TFS had a $6,500 rebate. Just so happens I found my best deal in CT, after my 1st NJ dealer weaseled on me. It's all good now. Too bad I don't have a GPS tracker on the car!

Enjoy the new "baby" and hope you get her home soon... I am reacquainting myself with CT winters...IMHO "they" don't know how to do snow here like the folks in upstate NY (where I moved from)...

I'm originally from Omaha, NE, and spent time near Albany, NY, so I know what you mean. Nebraskans and New Yorkers know how to deal with storms (as long as no hurricanes are involved ). You should see the chaos that ensues when an ice storm hits in Texas or Arkansas!

And I got a call from the driver today...should have my new blue pip tomorrow afternoon, if I'm lucky. Had a nice chuckle with my sales guy today, trying to imagine looking for my car under a 5 foot drift last Saturday!

Sandy was a whole new outlook on life and what huffing CO feels like when the generator was too close to the house (not my installation!)...
