    I just use a compressor that runs off the cigarette lighter / 12v port. Keep the engine running (car in ready mode) if you are doing this and you think your 12v battery is low. I do it with the car off but I drive enough miles each day that I'm sure I have a strong charge and I'm running a Optima yellowtop so I know it won't brick the battery if I drain it too low.
