This is a common problem on info displays/gauges these days. I have had to downgrade from polarized lenses as the common led panels also can not be seen with them.

Maybe the fuel gauge showed a filled up tank, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was filled up right to the top,so when you refilled, maybe you filled in more gas as was by the dealer !?
What Did the trip computer say ?

Remove the polarized film in the LCD screen, and you have it so you need the glasses to see what's on them.

I don't know how to remove that filter. I don't think that would be a solution for me. Right now it isn't an issue for me since my days are dark to dark and I don't need sunglasses. It's not too difficult to adjust the HUD brightness level too. It's all done with the meter control switches on the right side of the steering wheel.

Completed my first commute to/from work today. The trip is almost exactly 25.5 miles each way. I left home with the car fully charged and reached work with 0.2 mi left on the battery. I recharged at work and reached home with 1.0 mi left. I thought you'd like to see the log.

civicdriver06 and fotomoto asked about my gas mileage on my trip home from southern California last Saturday. The mileage on the log says 48.5 mpg whereas my calc was 46.0 mpg. 1479182875739.jpg

What type of driving are those 25 miles? Mostly freeway or in-city?- what was the average speed?

Mostly freeway. It's about 4 residential miles from my house to the freeway and about 3 from the freeway to parking at work. Traffic in the morning commute is generally faster (up to more than 70 mph) than the evening where it is mostly stop/go the entire distance. Sorry, I can't tell you what the average speed was.

I like the rear-end and tail lights much better than my 2016. I would buy the car just for that alone. :)

What is the average expected full tank-to-empty MPG for the Prime? Is it much higher than the regular Gen4 Prius?

Iroki, Thanks so much for your posts. We can read about specs all day long but to hear someone's actual experience driving the car is golden. One thing I'm very curious about is the 11.6" display. Just in terms of basic functions, do you find it pleasant to use? I think we all have the expectation that it will be like a super fast iPad. Is it slow or jumpy? How is the navigation working? Does the opening chime/animation drive you nuts? I'd appreciate anything you could write about that display. Thanks again!

When you get a chance, get an EV 0-60 time on video (frame the speedo).
